Henley Constituency Travel and AccommodationTrain Travel
At the South-East of the constituency, Henley-on-Thames rail station is at the end of a branch from Twyford station which is on the main line between Paddington and Reading. The other stations on the branch are Wargrave and Shiplake, which are both very close to the constituency boundary. In the South-West of the constituency, there is Goring & Streatley Rail Station, on the line from Reading to Didcot, and with direct trains to Banbury, Oxford, Didcot, Reading and London Paddington. The journey from Twyford to Henley takes around 12 minutes, and there are also occasional direct trains from Paddington to Henley in evening peak hours. The service from Paddington to Twyford takes around 45 minutes, and runs approximately hourly. At the North, Haddenham & Thame Parkway is very slightly outside the constituency, around 3 miles from Thame itself. Haddenham & Thame Parkway is on Marylebone to Birmingham Snow Hill line. By far the closest train station to the Lib Dems Thame HQ is Haddenham & Thame Parkway. Bus TravelThere is a regular bus service from Thame & Haddenham Parkway station into Thame (half hourly Mon-Sat and hourly Sun). This bus runs between Aylesbury Bus Station and Oxford Rail Station. There is also a bus service (40) from High Wycombe to Thame. Driving DirectionsDirections from the North: On the M40 take junction 8a and follow the A418 to Thame. After around 4 miles follow signs around the Thame ring road for Thame Business Park, around the outside across 3 roundabouts (following Thame Industrial Estate all the way) and onto Wenman Road. Take the 4th right onto Bertie Road - the HQ is at the back left corner of the estate. Directions from the South: Leave the M40 at junction 6, then at T-junction turn right onto the B4009 (signposted Thame, Princes Risborough). Go under the motorway, then in about half a mile turn left onto the A40, follow for 1.7 miles and then turn right onto the B4012 (signposted Thame). Follow the B4012 for two miles - immediately as you enter Thame you turn right onto Wenman Road - B4012 (signposted Through Traffic), then turn second left onto Bertie Road. Travel by Cycle
The "Phoenix Trail" section of National Route 57 of the National Cycle Network runs directly behind the Thame Campaign HQ, making the HQ easily accessible by Bike from Oxford, Princes Risborough and Chesham.
Hotels and AccommodationThere is a wide range of hotels and bed & breakfast accommodation around the constituency. In terms of budget hotels, Travelodge has 2 hotels in the area at Thame and Oxford Wheatley (by the M40 Oxford Wheatley services, 6.1 miles from Thame). There is also a Days Inn hotel by Junction 8A of the M40. There are a range of hotels and Bed and Breakfast accommodation available in Thame and across the whole constituency.
